It is reported that this week, Chinese cold rolled steel coil prices continue to increase. This is the 5th consecutive week that China's CRC sees price increase. By the end of yesterday, the average price of 1.0mm HRC in 23 major Chinese cities posted at CNY 4282 per tonne up CNY 67 per tonne from that of last Thursday.
On Shanghai market, 1.0mm CR sheet by Anshan steel goes at CNY 4320 per tonne up CNY 110 per tonne to CNY 120 per tonne from last Friday. That for 1.2mm to 2.0mm CR sheet edge up CNY 40 per tonne to CNY 70 per tonne to CNY 4220 per tonne. 1.0mm CR coil by Tangshan Steel is being quoted at CNY 4180 per tonne.
Taking Shanghai price for 1.0 sheet by Anshan steel as benchmark, the price would continue to increase with some downward corrections if it can't break the resistance of CNY 4500 per tone and the general market situation see no change.
As for export and import, not export is heard in the market though there are some inquiries. In the Southeast Asia, the import price of CRC increase slightly as demand in the counties like Malaysia has started to recover gradually.
