Turkmenistan''s first metallurgical plant, which was built by a Turkish consortium, has been inaugurated at a ceremony which was also attended by the Turkmen President.
The plant was constructed by Turkish construction firm Sehil and engineering firm Erenco, a company of Turkey''s biggest iron & steel producer Erdemir.
Turkminestan''s President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov told the inauguration ceremony that the plant would have notable contributions to his country''s industry.
The plant, which has an annual capacity of 160,000 tons of construction iron, cost around 64 million USD.
