According to the Federation of Thai Industries, the country’s steel production in this year is likely to slide by 30-40 percent from the annual average basis of 13 million tons.
The main reason is the reducing productivity of electrical appliances, electronics and automotive industries.
It’s predicted that the quarterly production is about 3 million tons, but the output of the first quarter in this year was only 900,000 to 1.2 million tons. Source: Yieh.com
