Since February, the U.S. scrap prices have fallen by about US$64/ ton on slow demand.
It is expected that scrap price in April will drop further by US$20/ton, said by market participants.
At present, the U.S. angle scrap price hit US$197~207/ton, shredded scrap prices reached US$187~197/ton, while H1 scrap was priced at US$162~ 172/ton.
As for the exports, according to United States International Trade Commission, the U.S. scrap export reached 876,000 tons in January, down by 348,000 tons compared with last December's 1224,000 tons. Source:Yieh.com
