Brazil's iron ore export value in June this year rose by 49.99 percent compared to the same month last year, increasing to $3.5 billion, according to the information released by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade. In the first half of 2011, Brazil's iron ore export value amounted to $18.4 billion with an icrease of 93.27 percent compared to $9.5 billion recorded in the same period last year.
In the first half of the year, Brazil's iron and steel exports amounted to a value of $6.3 billion with an increase of 63.9 percent compared to the same peripd of 2010, while its iron and steel product exports were valued at $8.5 million with an increase of 23.1 year on year.
