Section steel depreciated in its value in Turkey

Section steel prices of Turkey declined by US$40 per ton settling at US$450 per ton to US$460 per ton. Customers are continuously resisting any substantial orders and making purchase based upon their immediate needs only. Due to devastation markets of construction industry, the demand of section state has debated no improvement in accordance with declining price.

Additionally, the demand of international market has declined whereas that of local markets surged in its consequences. Steel imports of Turkey fell in February 2009. Export of steel plates of Turkey for February 2009 stood at 108,000 tons with a decrease of 10,000 tons as compared to the prior month. HRC exports were valued 68,000 tons, CRC were valued 23,000 tons and that of galvanized steel stood at 13,000 tons.
