It is reported that although CIS market is entering the May break period and a few people are available, steel billet price added around USD 15 per tonne this week. The segment's mood is moderately optimistic. As per reports, May production volumes have been mostly allocated and some producers have already started bookings for June.
It is reported that finished longs prices followed the uptrend in steel billet prices this wee as producers pushed for higher quotations.
Rebar - Up by USD 10 per tonne to USD 20 per tonne
Wire rod - Up by USD 5 per tonne
As per the market reports, finished flats dynamics was still negative this week at Black Sea. Although the general offer level for Ukrainian HRC was lesser by USD 10 per tonne, as compared to previous week, there is unconfirmed information about small deals even below this level.
